Although the May 2010 Election of WTU
officers has been hindered by the refusal of the
current President to turnover neccesary documents
to the duly elected elections committee, WTU
members will finally be able to elect a new President of the Washington Teachers' Union. I want your vote for WTU President.
According to the AFT, ballots will be mailed mid September and will be due in no later than October 3, 2010 to be counted the next day.
I am asking you to believe not just in my ability to bring
about progress for teachers and students, I'm asking you to
believe in yours.
The WTU is voiceless and cannot defend rights or jobs, and
teachers are doing more work under greater pressure.
We Can Do Better!
I am not campaigning against an individual, rather against reactionary
and political responses which continue to unnecessarily burden teachers and
yield minimal gains towards a positive public education experience for our children
